Coming off a 5 game win streak, and getting to 80 points, the Red Wings went back home for this game against the Dallas Stars, who have been struggling, trying to hold on to a postseason spot. The Stars had full control of the Wings, here is the recap:

In the first, The Stars scored first, and it was late in the first. At 16:42, Mike Ribiero scored, giving the Stars the 1-0 lead. Shortly after, Loui Erikson at 19:37 gave the Stars the commanding 2-0 entering the second.

The Second showed not much of a difference for the Wings, as at 8:54, Krystofper Barch scored for the Stars, which they brought that 3-0 lead to the third period.

The Wings were a little too late, scoring at 16:29, a goal by Tomas Holmstrom, making it 3-1, which soon changed on a empty net at 18:1 7 by Jamie Laggenbrunner.

The Wings have now lost 2 straight, and enter tonights game vs. Buffalo, at 80 points, second in the conference.
