Wings pull off win against NHL's best Canucks
In a mostly low scoring game, the Red Wings manage a win against the Canucks. the Canucks, behind surging goaltender, Roberto Luongo pulled off a outstanding performance, but not better then the Red Wings, Jimmy Howard.
The first period had nothing but a few penalties, so we move on to the second period.
The second period saw one goal, Vancouver's Daniel Sedin on a power play at 12:09, which also ended the second period for scoring.
Early in the third, the Wings got a goal from Johan Franzen, another power play goal, at 0:42.
A quick, no scoring Overtime led the Red Wings and Canucks into a shootout.
In the shootout, the only goal was by Jiri Hudler. Giving the Red Wings the win, and ending the surging Canucks 8 game winning streak.
