Wings pull out shootout win vs. Buffalo
The Wings finally notch a win, in Buffalo. It took a shootout, but it still happened. Wings now get to 82 points, trying to hold a surging Sharks team behind. Here is the recap:
In the first period, the Sabres scored at 12:55, and 14:59. Giving them the 2-0 lead. In most games this lead for the now struggling Red Wings would end up a loss, but it was just the warmup.
The Second had less scoring. The Only goal coming from Datsyuk at 10:43. Getting the Wings within one goal of the Sabres
The third period started off slowly and continued on to have no scoring until the final 58 seconds of the game. A late game tying goal by Jiri Hudler put the game into Overtime.
Nothing happened in OT, but a quick shootout for the Wings resulted in the two goal scorers in the game hitting the net and winning it for the Wings in 2 rounds, thanks to Joey MacDonald making 2 saves
